‘Lovingly handmade in Blackpool, the home of British Candy’
Candy UK are excited to announce the Management Buyout of Coronation Candy led by Suzanne Rowney and Diane Peck and we have rebranded as Candy UK as we proudly approach 100 years in manufacturing confectionery.
Candy UK has been manufacturing traditional handmade rock sticks and lollipops from our seaside headquarters in Blackpool, UK since 1927. With all these years under our belt, Candy UK have earned a first class reputation and not one, but two Guinness World Records. We have continually evolved over the decades, adding new product lines including every flavour imaginable to our ranges; from Strawberry to Marmite and almost every colour from the Pantone chart. We are a company with generations of learning, who are also fully embracing modern production techniques in response to customer demands.
We take pride in our rich heritage as much as we do our boundary-pushing nature. We are investing substantially in specialised, custom-built manufacturing equipment, factory upgrades and raising our quality certifications from SALSA to BRC standard.
Staying true to our British seaside heritage, Candy UK will remain in Blackpool but we are completely transforming our manufacturing HQ with cutting edge equipment and with the company rebrand, we will continue to provide innovations in candy. A sweet triumph for the British confectionery industry!

Record Breakers
Since then, we’ve been in the news for some incredible feats, not least for holding a Guinness World record! To help promote Peter Kay: Live at the Top of the Tower back in 2000, we created the world’s largest stick of rock, measuring 14 foot and weighing in at nearly 70 stone (that’s equivalent to four newborn elephants)!
Candy UK Today
Since rebranding as Candy UK in January 2020, we still take pride our rich heritage as much as we do our boundary-pushing nature. Our most popular product may still be the traditional pink peppermint rock with BLACKPOOL ROCK through the centre, but we are investing substantially in custom-built and specialised manufacturing equipment, factory upgrades and raising our quality certifications from SALSA to BRC standard.
